Description
Hioki BT3564- Battery Hi Tester (1000V Max.)

- Measure high-voltage battery packs up to 1000V
- Production line testing of high-voltage battery packs for EV, PHEV
- 0.1m Ω to 3k Ω internal resistance range (pack total resistance, bus bar resistance)
- Spark discharge reduction function
- Analog output function
Hioki benchtop battery testers support simultaneous high-speed measurement of the internal resistance and battery voltage of EV and PHEV battery packs. The BT3564 Battery HiTester can measure pack voltage and total resistance, as well as bus bar resistance up to 1000V.
Instrument Measures Battery Voltages Up to 1000 V
- Ability to measure battery voltages of up to 1000 V – The previous Hioki battery tester for this application (BT3563) had a maximum input voltage of 300 V. Hioki is providing a maximum input voltage to 1000 V in the BT3564 to enable customers to measure the internal resistance of increasingly high-voltage EV battery packs.
- Spark discharge reduction function for safe measurement – As voltages increase, spark discharge during measurement become more likely, creating a significant risk for workers. The BT3564 reduces the likelihood of spark discharge by limiting the current that flows when the measurement probes make contact with the battery pack’s terminals.
- Newly designed 1000 V probes for easy measurement – Hioki designed new pin-shaped probes that can measure 1000 V (separate optional product). High-voltage battery packs have terminals that are less accessible in order to comply with safety standards, making them difficult to measure with conventional probe designs. Thanks to longer tips, these probes facilitates more reliable measurement.
Functions for Reliable, Easy Measurement
Spark discharges become more likely with measurements of higher voltages. The BT3564 limits the current that flows when contacting battery packs, thus reducing spark discharges. Furthermore, the contact check function automatically switches to measurement mode as soon as it confirms contact between the probe and the battery pack terminal.
Complete with a built-in resistance value analog output function. Combine it with a recorder or logger for total resistance value monitoring such as extended vibration testing or battery evaluation, and monitoring resistance changes due to temperature, humidity, or other environmental changes.
Resistance measurement uses the 1 kHz AC 4 terminal method for measurement unaffected by wiring resistance, etc.
Simultaneous, comprehensive output of resistance and voltage results.
Up to 126 measurement configurations such as comparator setting criteria can be saved and reloaded. Saved configurations can be selected by external control.
Stable readings can be consistently obtained by averaging two to 16 measurements.
Detect poor contact or probe disconnections for highly-reliable measurements.
Minor drift and gain fluctuations within the internal measurement circuitry are automatically corrected to maintain high accuracy.
