YSI 630158

The YSI 630158 is a ProSample PM mini automated sampler kitted with 10L composite bottle with lid, CEC compliant battery charger, and 8 x 8 mm strainer. The ProSample PM includes a 5-meter suction hose, 2 peristaltic pump tubes, battery, USB cable and a printed copy of the ProSample getting started guide.

The ProSample portable automatic samplers are designed to collect field samples and provide temporary storage before the samples are analyzed in a laboratory. YSI’s ProSample portable samplers feature a proprietary peristaltic pump for highly accurate sampling in applications such as surface water, stormwater, and wastewater.

With multiple automated portable samplers to choose from and the ability to sample based on time, analog signal, digital pulse, and/or measurements from an SDI-12 device (ProSample P-12 and ProSample PM-12 models only), the ProSample can be the final piece of your monitoring installation. Composite sampling can be completed with all models, while discrete sampling can be completed with the ProSample P and ProSample P-12.

There are four samplers in the ProSample series:

• ProSample P: full-size portable sampler (19.69-inches x 29.13-inches)
• ProSample P-12: full-size portable sampler with SDI-12 connectivity
• ProSample PM: mini portable sampler (15.75-inches x 23.82-inches)
• ProSample PM-12: mini portable sampler with SDI-12 connectivity

Composite sampling can be completed with all ProSample models. In this type of sampling, a single container is used to collect multiple samples, resulting in a mixture of all samples collected.

Discrete sampling can be completed with the ProSample P and ProSample P-12. In this type of sampling, samples are placed in different bottles. There are several bottle configurations available (sold separately) for the purpose of discrete sampling.

All ProSample models feature:

• Robust PE, double-walled, insulated housing for temperature control

• Spring-loaded roller bearings in the peristaltic pump providing long tubing life
• Highly accurate sample volume using two capacitive sensors in the peristaltic pump for volume control

• Bottle sets and distributor arms for the ProSample P and ProSample P-12
• SDI-12 cable for the ProSample P-12 and ProSample PM-12
• Flow signal cable
• Battery charger (CEC compliant charger included in this kit)
• Other accessories such as strainers (8x8mm strainer included in this kit)

The ProSample P and ProSample PM can be configured to sample based on measurements/signals from analog and digital I/O devices, while the ProSample P-12 and ProSample PM-12 can additionally be configured to sample based on measurements from SDI-12 devices, such as the EXO3 sonde.

Health authorities can install ProSample units along any part of the wastewater network, including individual buildings. With the ProSample, you can collect consistent representative water samples from any wastewater network during peak usage hours.

Wastewater samples are collected by a field team to be sent to a laboratory for COVID RNA testing.

YSIConnect is the PC software for the YSI ProSample. This software can be used to control the sampler, download data, and update instrument firmware.
