Filter replacement is simple. Simply unscrew the filter holder with a Phillips head screwdriver, pop in a new filter, and close it back up. Filters need to be replaced when dirt or water block the internal pump from receiving air samples. An opaque window allows users to see if the the filter is clogged with dirt and needs changing. A fully clogged filter won’t let any air into the gas detector, and the unit will go into alarm to let you know. This simple fix can be performed in the field with basic tools.
