The Hakko FM-206 is a 3 port rework station, with soldering, desoldering and hot air functionality. The FM-206 contains an internal pump and is fully self contained, not requiring any source of external compressed air. You simply put it on your bench, and turn it on – that’s it.

The FM-206 is compatible with the FM series of Hakko handpieces, nine in total. These include hot air pencils, tweezers and desoldering irons. There are also several styles of soldering irons, including micro irons designed for SMD work, and heavy-duty 140 watt irons for large ground planes and high heat sink applications. In addition, the FM-206 was designed to integrate with the FR-830 and FR-870 preheaters. These can be programmed to work together, as well as deactivate when work is completed.
 
There are several packages available with the FM-206 station and a variety of handpieces. These packages contain a complete system in one purchase – please see the tab labeled “Q&A” for a full list. Any compatible handpiece can also be added to these packages for additional functionality.
