Mastercool’s 55600 handheld infrared refrigerant leak detector uses an infrared sensor to effectively identify halogenated gases. The ergonomic design and rugged construction provide effortless refrigerant leak detection all while allowing the technician to easily adjust sensitivity to adapt to different environments. This superior IR (infrared) leak detector detects the refrigerant by scanning the area in a slow target scan mode. Moving the sensor back and forth until the alarm sounds; the IR sensor zeroes out when held over a leak. This unit provides the same trigger conditions for all refrigerants which is an advantage over other technologies that work better for some refrigerants than others. Packaged in a zippered carry case this kit includes the 55600 infrared refrigerant leak detector, charging cable, and replacement filters.
