Description

DSA875 Spectrum Analyzer, 9 kHz to 7.5 GHz

For design and development implementing Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other RF standards, the SSB Phase Noise down as low as -98 dBc/Hz at a 10 KHz offset empowers engineers to more accurately analyze modulations and noise surrounding their signals of interest. This becomes important for debugging and immunity testing of transceiver systems. The 7.5 GHz instrument enables engineers to investigate the 3rd harmonic of all of their critical 2.4 GHz applications while the 3.2 GHz models enable primary investigation of those signals as well as EMC measurements past the 3 GHz threshold. Additionally, resolution bandwidth settings down to 10 Hz means more precise visualization of low power RF signals. Whether you are still debugging your RF transceiver set, designing layout and configuration changes to maximize efficiency, or testing your system in noisy environments the DSA800 series spectrum analyzers will help you to quickly and easily identify and analyze your areas of concern.

Rigol’s new DSA800 series spectrum analyzers redefine the product category by setting new standards for performance and price. The DSA800 family features a unique widescreen display, compact design and easy-to-use interface and operations, making it ideal for benchtop or field apps in RF and wireless testing and production. The new spectrum analyzer offers the ability to measure smaller signals using our digital IF filter, which allows for smaller bandwidth settings and reduces displayed noise levels. The DSA815 also distinguishes between signals with a frequency difference as little as 100 Hz. The DSA832 and DSA875 have RBW settable down to 10 Hz and a DANL (displayed average noise level) down to -161 dBm (typical). In addition, Rigol offers great options including an EMI filter and quasi-peak detector kit, and tracking generator for all of these models. A Preamplifier is standard on the DSA815, but is an option on the DSA832 or DSA875. Whether your application is radio verification at 455 MHz or monitoring the 3rd harmonic of 2.4 GHz signals find the right spectrum analyzer in the updated DSA800 family.

Benefits of Rigol’s all digital IF design

  1. The ability to measure smaller signals: on the basis of this technology, the IF filter enables smaller bandwidth settings, which greatly reduce the displayed average noise level.
  2. The ability to distinguish between small signals by frequency: using the IF filter with the smallest bandwidth setting it is possible to make out signals with a frequency difference of only 100 Hz.
  3. High precision amplitude readings: this technology almost eliminates the errors generated by filter switching, reference level uncertainty, scale distortion, as well as errors produced in the process of switching between logarithmic and linear display of amplitude when using a traditional analog IF design.
  4. Higher reliability: compared with traditional analog designs, the digital IF greatly reduces the complexity of the hardware, the system instability caused by channel aging, and the temperature sensitivity that can contribute to parts failure.
  5. High measurement speed: the use of digital IF technology improves the bandwidth precision and selectivity of the filter, minimizing the scanning time and improving the speed of the measurement.
