TACFlux

Indium Corporation manufactures a complete line of TACFlux which includes no-clean, water-wash, and RMA-based fluxes. Its many uses include: rework and repair of various electronics assemblies and components, SMT component attach (including BGAs and flip-chips), BGA ball-attach, preform soldering, and virtually any application where the flux is required. Cycle times are not critical as TACFlux may sit for hours with no-reflow degradation.

TACFlux 020B-RC is the newest addition to our popular TACFlux product line. TACFlux 020B-RC is a no-clean flux formulated for both SnPb and Pb-free soldering. It is halogen-free and passes SIR in the unreflowed state, which is ideal for rework applications where the flux may not be heated properly.

TACFlux 055

TACFlux 055 is an air reflow, halogen-free, no-clean flux used with SnBi and SnBiAg alloys. TACFlux 055 provides excellent wetting in air and nitrogen and provides the low activation temperature necessary for the low-melting SnBi and SnBiAg alloys.

Cleaning

TACFlux 055 is designed for no-clean applications. If necessary, the flux can be removed by using a commercially available flux cleaner.

Reflow

Peak reflow temperature should be <200°C in an air or nitrogen atmosphere.

Storage

TACFlux 055 syringes and cartridges should be stored tip down at 0–30°C. If refrigerated, TACFlux 055 should be thawed for 4 hours at room temperature before use.
