Desco’s black cut resistant gloves are made from Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) and protect hands from cuts caused by circuit board edges, leads, and other sharp objects. They are non-scratch touch screen compatible and are designed for all-day use, easy hand movement, and tactile sensitivity.
Black, cut resistant gloves are static dissipative (< 1 x 10⁹ ohms) and retain ESD and other properties for approximately 1 year of normal use. A seamless fine gauge knit with carbon black polyurethane palm coating absorbs oils and other contaminants produced by the operator’s skin.
Test (tested in accordance with EN 388 : 2003 mandatory requirements) Method Performance Levels:
- 6.1 Abrasion Resistance (Revs): Level 4
- 6.2 Blade Cut Resistance: Level 5
- 6.3 Tear Resistance (N): Level 4
- 6.4 Puncture Resistance (N): Level 2
Additional Features:
- Retains ESD and other properties for approximately 1 year of normal use
- Static Dissipative < 1 x 10⁹ ohms
- Electrically bonds through grounded operator and produces no charge generation preventing ESD events
- Seamless fine gauge knit with carbon black polyurethane palm coated glove
- Allows for use with touch screen monitors and other devices

Glove laundering
For proper operation, the ESD Gloves must be laundered periodically. Woolite works well. Liquid detergents are better than dry in that there is less caking and frictional wear. Launder glove in cool or warm water, tumble dry with low heat or hang dry. Machine washing works well if using a standard house machine on a gentle cycle. It is not recommended to launder these gloves in heavy industrial laundry machines as it will lead to premature wear. Gloves should be tumbled dry using low heat. DO NOT BLEACH. After laundering, verify < 1 x 10⁹ ohms.
