AIM Solder 502 – SN100C Lead-Free Solder Wire, Glow Core 2.5%, 0.020″ Dia, 1LB, No-Clean

Glow Core is a no-clean cored wire solder designed to offer excellent wetting characteristics with both leaded and lead-free alloys. The novel activator in Glow Core produces fast cycle time and powerful capillary action. Glow Core promotes thermal transfer, offering better solder penetration into plated through holes or surface mount interconnections. Glow Core cored wire produces low-to-medium post-process residues that are electrically safe and do not require cleaning.

SN100C is a lead-free silver-free solder alloy developed by Nihon Superior in Japan. SN100C offers user-friendly properties and has been proven in commercial applications since 1999. The inclusion of nickel reduces copper dissolution and produces a bright shiny solder fillet. The addition of germanium reduces dross formation and promotes solder flow. Performance in wave and selective soldering is similar to SAC alloys at a considerably lower cost. SN100C is available in bar, solid and cored wire, and solder paste.
