Battery Tester, 1kHz, AC, 4-Terminal Test Method
Two factors determining the internal resistance of a battery are electrical resistance and ionic resistance. The Amblyonix BT12 detects the overall resistance using a four-wire method and a low voltage AC signal at 1 kHz.
Low internal resistance is an indicator of good battery health. Conversely, a high resistance represents a lower battery capacity or internal deterioration. Trending these measurements over time helps prevent problems down the road.
With the model BT12, preset Pass, Fail, and Warning thresholds can be set. Stored measurements can be downloaded by USB connection.
