The Boekel Scientific 1456XL-2 (230V) is a large wax dispenser with a maximum capacity of 7.4 gallons (28 Liters) – the largest in the industry – ideal for use in larger histology laboratories that require large volumes of paraffin wax when embedding tissue samples. The 1456XL-2 can be used as the primary source of paraffin wax or to supplement tissue processors and embedding centers.

The built-in digital control system is easy to use and features a timer-based Hot Start system that ensures the wax is melted prior to operation. The adaptive system melts wax quickly and maintains the ideal temperature. The dispenser has a heated and filtered spigot to make sure the wax flows freely during operation. The tap height is nine inches from the base and will work with containers up to nine and a half inches tall. The unit is equipped with an advanced safety over-temperature cut-off. The stainless-steel lid and chamber stay corrosion free for years of use.
