BW Ultra – Five Gas Detector

The Honeywell BW Ultra is a five-gas detector from Honeywell that is designed specifically for sampling and monitoring confined spaces, before and after entry. It benefits from unmatched sensor technology, visibility on gas readings, comfort, and connectivity – even in most extreme working conditions. The Honeywell BW Ultra simultaneously detects the four gases you’re required to monitor in confined spaces. Plus, there is a fifth sensor for the gas of your choice. This way you can add a fifth level of protection for your confined-space entries.

With a very high rating of IP66/68, the Honeywell BW Ultra is protected not only from dust but also from water ingress (high pressure spray or submersion up to 1.2 m or 3.9 ft. deep). So if you drop the Honeywell BW Ultra in a vat or take it into a dust-prone environment, you can feel completely confident that it will continue to operate effectively.

The detector’s gas readings and location can be instantly sent via Bluetooth to Honeywell’s real-time monitoring software, viewable from a control room or other remote locations. So, if there’s an emergency, you have an extra layer of monitoring for coordinated response.

Hole Watch Mode – for easy-to-understand gas concentrations

When you’re monitoring a confined space that has workers inside, it’s important to track changes in the gas concentration. But what does a concentration of 5 ppm really mean?

When you put the Honeywell BW Ultra into Hole Watch Mode, you can see the concentration of each gas – plus a graph next to every reading that shows how close the gas is to the point of alarm. With this patented Honeywell feature, you can see how fast each gas level is climbing, so you can correct small problems before they cause worker injury, evacuation, or complete shutdown.

The BW Ultra is also compatible with the IntelliDox automatic instrument management system.

The Honeywell IntelliDoX instrument management system combines smart docking modules with Fleet Manager II software to provide automated instrument management, helping drive productivity, reliability and efficiency. Place the detector in the docking module, and it automatically tests the gas detector and sensors while transferring data to the docking station.

The Honeywell IntelliDoX delivers quicker bump tests for better productivity. Bump as many as five detectors in less than a minute. That means no more queues of workers waiting to test their detectors.
