The 550B High Range Thermometer with Rubber Boot is fully certified for high temperature ranges. It is supplied with an (ARB300) protective rubber boot and comes complete with data hold functionality to freeze readings.

The 550B High Range Thermometer is a basic Pocket Digital Thermometer which is slim and lightweight, making it perfect for slipping into a shirt, trouser or apron pocket between use.

The 550B High Range Thermometer has a 127 mm / 5″ long stem and features a data hold function. Thanks to the supplied rubber boot it is also water resistant. You can either use the <<ON/OFF>> button to conserve battery life or let the unit automatically shut off after a short time.

This Pocket Digital Thermometer includes a protective sheath with pocket clip and a (AB13) battery.

The 550B is quick and accurate and has a wide temperature range (up to +550°F) making it suitable for a wide range of cooking applications.

Operating Instructions

To use the 550B, remove the protective sheath, press the ‘ON/DH‘ button and insert at least ½” of the stem into the testing area.

Push the ‘ON/DH‘ button a second time and the temperature reading will automatically be held on the LCD display. ‘°F’ will blink when DH (Data Hold) is in operation. Pressing the ‘ON/DH‘ button a third time will return the 550B to normal operation. To save battery life, the 550B will automatically turn off after approximately 35 minutes.

Note: When turning the 550B on, the LCD will display the last reading before turning off for 2 seconds. Then it will display the current temperature.
