The ecom RSM-Ex01-D1 is an intrinsically safe remote speaker microphone (RSM) for North America NEC/CEC Division 1, available with a wired 3.5mm plug (straight) or Bluetooth connection. The RSM-Ex01-D1 is rated IP64 and is equipped with a built-in noise reduction function. It is able to produce clear, high-volume audio up to 103 dB. The RSM is intuitive and easy to use, even when wearing gloves. It is intended for industrial applications and offers a rugged design.

The RSM-Ex01-D1 is lone worker ready (the red button provides an emergency call function – only if supported). It also features a PTT (Push-To-Talk) button, an additional multifunction button, and a dedicated SOS button. 

The emergency call function of the red button can only be used with Smart-Ex 02 and Ex Handy 10, as well as future generations smartphones and mobile phones made by ECOM Instruments GmbH. The Red function must be integrated in the respective application. 

The Bluetooth models are equipped with dedicated channel up and down buttons. The wired version uses the volume up/down buttons by activating the channel change mode (pressing the volume up button for four seconds). Channel mode is deactivated by pressing the volume down button for four seconds.
