VFD &LoZ Modes:

The new FLIR DM93 is engineered to deliver accurate readings and diagnostics, no matter the environmental conditions. In industrial environments where motors, pumps and other processing equipment are controlled by switching electronics and variable frequency drives (VFDs), it can be difficult to test accurately when distorted waveforms exist on electronic loads. The DM93’s VFD Mode uses a low-pass filter to ensure precision readings even when signals are noisy. To avoid misleading readings from stray static voltage present from capacitive coupling, the DM93’s LoZ mode helps a user confirm a circuit is not energized and accurately display zero volts even when stray ‘ghost voltage’ is present on wiring.

Data Recording and Bluetooth Connectivity:

When extended testing is required for trending and analysis, up to 20,000 readings can be recorded at a customizable sampling rate. Readings can be transferred wirelessly via Bluetooth. The advanced FLIR DM93 connects via Bluetooth to compatible smartphones and tablets using the FLIR Tools Mobile app. Now, you can monitor electrical readings on equipment in closed cabinets, with dangerous moving components, or with extreme temperatures – all from a safe distance. Plus, use the app to share diagnostic results with colleagues or customers on-site or remotely—as primary readings or within professional-looking reports you can easily create. As part of the FLIR family, the innovative meter also communicates with METERLiNK-enabled FLIR IR cameras, helping you record electrical readings on thermal images in realtime. When you’re working on complex electrical, mechanical or pump systems for example, you want tools that can work together to gather and record all the relevant data—temperature and electrical together on one thermal image.
