Package with T6-1000, TPAK Hanger, H-T6 Holster, AC285 Alligator Clips, Soft Case
The Fluke T6-1000 Electrical Tester with FieldSense technology lets you quickly, and safely take True RMS voltage and current measurements without test leads.
Unlike other fork testers that merely detect voltage, the T6-1000 makes actual measurements, without contacting a live, metallic conductor. Just slide the 17.8mm open fork, the widest in the industry, over a conductor and read simultaneous voltage and current values. Or simultaneous frequency and current values. The open fork works with wires up to AWG 4/0 (120mm²). Or, you can use the attached test leads to measure voltage DC to 1000V.
- True RMS voltage and current to 200A AC, 1000V AC
- Resistance 1Ω to 100kΩ
Work on any jobsite
Make use of the HOLD button to temporarily freeze the reading on the screen so you can keep working with the same measurement up. Plus, the display features large, easy-to-read numbers and a backlight for darker work environments or inside cabinets. The T6-1000 works with the Fluke TPAK ToolPak Magnetic Meter Hanger to make it even more convenient.
How FieldSense technology works
FieldSense technology is a breakthrough in how voltage is measured. Other open fork testers detect a magnetic field to show AC current. FieldSense technology detects an electrical field, which interacts with a reference signal created by the T6 tester, which shows the measurement value on the tester’s display.

Tips on using FieldSense technology
- Do not hold or touch the wire you are testing during a measurement.
- Use the black probe to make the ground connection if you are wearing gloves, insulated footwear, or standing on an insulated ladder.

Using the T6 with the optional PRV240FS proving unit
Verify your test tool works without unnecessary exposure to shock and arc flash. Make the process easy by using the PRV240FS Proving unit. Verifying that your T6 electrical tester is working properly reduces the need for personal protective equipment (PPE) when a known voltage source is not available for verification before tests are performed. (PPE is still needed for the absence of voltage testing when appropriate).
Fluke’s PRV240FS allows you to “Test Before Touch” (TBT), which involves testing your T6 against a known live source before, and after, the actual measurement. This sequence verifies that your test tool is operating properly during the actual measurement.
Voltage is sourced through a central hub designed to test the T6 FieldSense open fork, as well as through recessed contacts that are activated when test probes are inserted to avoid accidental contact. The PRV240FS has been tested and includes an IEC61010-1 and IEC61010-2-030 safety rating.
