GL260 New Features and Functions
The Graphtec GL260 is the functional replacement for the GL240 (same form factor) with enhanced capabilities. The internal memory has been increased to 8GB and is expandable via an SD card. A new battery is required for use in the GL260 (B-573).
The Graphtec GL260 display features increased chromaticity, changed font with added margins to improve visibility, and the menu tree has been simplified and made more intuitive. The operability improvements include a simplified waveform setting (SPAN /POSI/TRACE able to be configured in less steps), a web server function (faster update speeds/new setup screen) and a HELP-QR function (providing details on the related web page).
One of the new functions included with GL260 is an alarm history that shows the date/time history of alarm occurrence/cancellation. This is useful for wanting a record of condition or to check historical data during recording. The alarm history data is saved in .GAH format and can be opened as a text file.

The Graphtec GL260 has dedicated channels for calculation, coefficients can be used, and two types of calculations can be selected. The 4-point input enable temperature slope calculation output (allowing adjustment of graph tilt).

When capturing data using the relay function, capturing stopped when the capturing disk became full. However, by using the memory loop function, when the capturing disk is full, the oldest relay file can be deleted and capturing can be continued.
The standard software (GL28-APS – available for free download) to check, record, and save waveforms on a PC features an intuitive UI design and simple specifications. The versatile display has a digital value screen, a statistical calculation screen, and integral bar graph screen. The software also supports GL840 / GL240 models. The GL-Connection software supports the GL260 for Smart Devices (also supports GL7000 / GL2000 / GL980 / GL840 / GL240 / GLT400).

GL260 Overview
GL260 Voltage and Thermocouple Data Logger system features 10 isolated analog input channels, 4 discrete inputs, and 4 discrete outputs with extremely flexible triggering conditions. Use the GL260 either stand-alone with a built-in battery compartment or pc-connected via the USB port.
Model GL260 is a third-generation data logger product with exceptional price/performance featuring 10 analog channels augmented by four discrete inputs and outputs. The discrete inputs can be configured as a group to be either logic inputs or pulse inputs. When configured for pulse, each of the four channels can be configured to measure frequency or to count. The four discrete outputs are alarms that can be triggered by a variety of easily-defined analog and pulse/discrete input channel conditions. The analog input channels may each be configured to measure a direct-connected voltage in the range of 20 mV to 100 V full scale across 12 ranges, or for a direct-connected thermocouple of any type to measure temperature. Each of the GL260’s analog input channels is electrically isolated from other channels and from power ground allowing off-ground measurements using shunts, as well as powered or grounded thermocouples.
The most powerful GL260 feature is its triggering flexibility. Data recording can be independently started or stopped as a function of analog and pulse/discrete signal level (single or windowed), alarm, date and time, and day-of-the-week. Triggers can also be configured to operate only once, or to automatically repeat. The ability to of the GL260 to adapt to virtually any desired trigger condition allows the instrument to operate unattended for long periods of time with complete autonomy.
The GL260 operates either connected to a PC or entirely stand-alone. Connection to a PC may be over a standard USB or optional wireless connection. Either connection approach may take advantage of supplied PC-side software to configure, acquire, display, and record digitized information for storage directly to the PC’s HDD. Acquired data may be retrieved for review and analysis after recording, including the ability to export to Microsoft Excel. Using the GL260’s wireless option enables the instrument’s networking features, allowing it to be remotely configured and managed using the standard Web browser of any computer or smart phone. The GL260 is provided with 4 GB of non-volatile memory embedded inside the instrument. The instrument supplies an external SD card slot for additional storage if needed.
Finally, the measurement reach of a wireless-enabled GL260 is further extended by use of the GL100 accessory. The GL100 wirelessly enables measurements of temperature/humidity, acceleration, CO2, illuminance, ac current, and more.
