The HAKKO FA-430 Fume Extraction System is specially designed for use in the electronics soldering process by extracting the contaminated air directly at the source. The three-stage filtering system returns purified air to the area.

Hakko offers the FA-430 in several packages with different duct kits. The following is an overview of the main components in each:

• FA430-KIT1 – includes C1571 duct kit with rectangular nozzle
• FA430-KIT2 – includes C1572 duct kit with round nozzle

The FA-430 is compatible with several duct kits, with options for nozzle shape, as well as duct style.

Loc-Line kits contain a flexible segmented hose that allows the nozzle to be placed close to the work or moved out of the way when not needed.

Exhaust noise has been reduced without sacrificing suction performance by the addition of a silencer unit to the exhaust outlet to ensure smooth air outflow. A high-performance motor with 1500 Pa of static pressure provides powerful suction and quiet operation.

Three airflow modes are available: high, medium, and low. Significantly improve your working environment by using an airflow volume that suits the worksite and the job.

• Low mode
• Not easily affected by the surrounding environment. For use in small, quiet locations and for when low noise is a priority

• Medium mode
• For normal usage

• For use in locations that are significantly affected by the surrounding environment and when suction performance is a priority

A note on “surrounding environment”: smoke flows in unexpected directions due to a variety of factors, not just because of the influence of air conditioning. High mode is recommended if your worksite is situated near a doorway, in a spot where people continuously pass by, near the exhaust outlet of a large machine, or in a similar location. It is possible to use low mode in laboratories and other places where these kinds of influences are limited.

Inside the unit, two filters, comprising three stages of filtration remove contaminants from the air. The purified air is then returned to the area where the FA-430 is located. The pre-filter removes coarse particles, such as dust, thus extending the life of the main filter. The main filter provides the greatest amount of surface area within the volume of the filter case.

No matter how sophisticated a fume extractor is, if the filter is not replaced at the correct time, it will not be able to give maximum performance. The Hakko FA-430 detects the number of fan revolutions and notifies the operator of the appropriate time to replace the filter, guaranteeing a comfortable working environment.
