The Ventis MX4 is a four-gas monitor with the portability and size of a single-gas monitor. Customize the device to fit your needs with up to four sensors, multiple runtime options, alarm thresholds, and more. Whether you’re performing daily confined space entries, wearing the instrument for personal gas detection, or anywhere in between, there’s a Ventis MX4 configuration that’s right for you.
Many versions available – product configuration
The Ventis MX4 is available with several battery, sensor, pump and color options, as well as in multiple confined space kits. To simplify the ordering process, the Ventis MX4 is broken down into the groups shown below. For standalone units, they are broken down by battery type; for confined space kits, it is pump type. From there, you can select the desired configuration from easy to use drop down menus.

Sensors and measuring ranges
With space for four sensors, the Ventis MX4 is available in thousands of possible combinations. Sensor options and measuring ranges are as follows:
- Combustible gases: 0-100% LEL in 1% increments
- Methane (CH4): 0-5% of vol in 0.01% increments
- Oxygen (O2): 0-30% of vol in 0.1% increments
- Carbon monoxide (CO): 0-1,000 ppm in 1 ppm increments
- Hydrogen sulfide (H2S): 0-500 ppm in 0.1 ppm increments
- Nitrogen dioxide (NO2): 0-150 ppm in 0.1 ppm increments
- Sulfur dioxide (SO2): 0-150 ppm in 0.1 ppm increments
