JBC PHBE-2KB – Two Zone Preheater with PCB Support for PCBs up to 14 x 11” (230 VOLT VERSION)

The JBC PHBEK is a package with PHBE preheater and PHB-SA PCB support. Designed to rework medium / large PCBAs, it features two zone control with a total heating area of 14.2 x 10.9” as well as four thermocouple connections. The PHBE offers matchless reliability in temperature accuracy and control of the PCBA so that no component is damaged.

This package includes a PHB-SA support. This support enables fast, easy, and precise PCB positioning and is ideal for repetitive soldering jobs. This adjustable support is easily adapted to PCBs up to 14.2 x 10.9” and offers 3 height adjustments (1.1”, 1.5”, and 1.9”).

Power Mode allows working at a fixed power level with the option of using a protection thermocouple. In this mode, the heater unit maintains the selected power as long as the thermocouples do not reach the control/protection temperature limit.

Temperature Mode keeps the PCBA at a selected temperature, using the regulation thermocouple and, optionally, protection thermocouples. In this mode, the heater unit maintains the selected temperature for the TC1 thermocouple as long as the other TC’s do not reach the control/protection temperature limit.

Profile Mode allows control of the heating rate of the PCBA by the use of a control and protection thermocouple, without exceeding the recommended limit levels in each application. It features 22 customizable profiles.

There are 3 profiles predefined by JBC: A, B, and C. The difference between them is the number of steps: 2, 3, or 4. The thicker your PCB is and the more layers it contains, the more steps are needed to obtain gradual warming.

These profiles are not modifiable but they can be used as templates to create your own profiles.
