Three work modes
The JBC PHSE offers three unique work modes – temperature, power and profile. Up to four thermocouples can be connected in any of the three work modes.
Temperature Mode keeps the PCBA at a selected temperature, using the regulation thermocouple and, optionally, protection thermocouples.

1. Status Bar
2. Instant Power Supplied to Heater
3. Thermocouple Current Temperature
4. Status Indicator
5. TC1 Current and Selected Temperature
6. Thermocouple Selected Temperature and Mode
- Control (C)
- Protection (P)
- Info
Power Mode maintains the selected power as long as the thermocouples do not reach the control/protection temperature limit.

Profile Mode
Allows control of the heating rate of the PCBA by the use of a control and protection thermocouple, without exceeding the recommended limit levels in each application. It features 22 customizable profiles.
Built in profiles
The preheater also comes with three built in profiles, pre-named as A, B and C. The difference between them is the number of steps: 2, 3 or 4. The thicker your PCB is and the more layers it contains, the more steps are needed to obtain a gradual warming.
These profiles are not modifiable but can be used as a template to create your own profiles.
