Several versions available

JBC offers several versions of its rework bench solution. The chart below outlines main components in each, as well as the maximum suggested PCB size.

The JBC PHBE is a preheater designed to rework medium / large PCBAs. It features two zone control with a total heating area of 14.2 x 10.9” as well as four thermocouple connections. The PHBE offers matchless reliability in temperature accuracy and control of the PCBA so that no component is damaged.

Power Mode allows working at a fixed power level with the option of using a protection thermocouple. In this mode, the heater unit maintains the selected power as long as the thermocouples do not reach the control/protection temperature limit.

Temperature Mode keeps the PCBA at a selected temperature, using the regulation thermocouple and, optionally, protection thermocouples. In this mode, the heater unit maintains the selected temperature for the TC1 thermocouple as long as the other TC’s do not reach the control/protection temperature limit.

Profile Mode allows control of the heating rate of the PCBA by the use of a control and protection thermocouple, without exceeding the recommended limit levels in each application. It features 22 customizable profiles.

There are 3 profiles predefined by JBC: A, B, and C. The difference between them is the number of steps: 2, 3, or 4. The thicker your PCB is and the more layers it contains, the more steps are needed to obtain gradual warming.

These profiles are not modifiable but they can be used as templates to create your own profiles.

The JBC PHB-SA support is perfectly adapted to any type of PCB by means of its many adjustable parts. It allows you to properly position PCBs of the same batch so as to always heat the same area. This means you save time and optimize workflow.

The PHB-SA incorporates several slots for a total alignment to the PHB Convetion Preheater system. The user can modify the height of the support (78 mm – 98 mm) according to the working needs. It is also possible to use the 4 black rubber caps for reworking large PCBs.

The RHB-A arm allows adjustment for different positions according to your work needs. The articulated arm covers all work areas.
