Moisture Meter
The Ligno-DuoTec BW is a non-invasive moisture meter with dual-depth measuring capabilities. The RH BluePeg Probe can be added to use as a Thermo-Hygrometer or for RH in-situ probe testing of concrete following the latest ASTM F2170 standard. Lignomat’s unique dual-depth pinless moisture meters allow the user to have more versatility. Two moisture meters in one. Great for thinner and thicker boards, engineered floor planks, and waterborne finishes.
For Contractors, Restoration Specialists, Floor Covering Installers, and Inspectors.
Multi-function Moisture Meter:
Wood in Scan Mode: Ligno-DuoTec BW gives wood moisture readings in percent. Corrections are built-in for a measuring depth of 1/4″ and for 3/4″ for each wood species setting (specific gravity 0.3 to 1.0). Included are 7 different settings for bamboo.
Building Materials in Scan Mode: Ligno-DuoTec BW gives moisture content in percent for drywall. For concrete and lightweight building materials, comparative readings can be taken to evaluate moisture conditions and find wet spots. 1/4″ and 3/4″ measuring depth are available. Conforms to ASTM 2659.
Air in RH Mode: Add RH BluePeg Probe for ambient relative humidity and temperature, GPP, and DPT. Use meter as Thermo-Hygrometer.
Concrete in RH Mode:
Add RH BluePeg Probes and RH accessories for in-situ moisture testing of concrete. Conforms to ASTM F2170. BW-KS package.

Applications
Before installing resilient floor coverings, the moisture in concrete slabs should be tested to avoid floor covering failure. The floor covering industry recommends the RH in-situ probe method for concrete moisture testing.
Advantages
The dual-mode Ligno-DuoTec BW incorporates pinless, dual depth, and RH functions. The BW delivers absolute reliability for many years of usage. It is your best choice for a pinless – RH combination meter.
The Package BW-KS includes the Ligno-DuoTec BW pinless moisture meter and the basic necessities for RH concrete testing.
The Lignomat RH system complies with the latest ASTM standard. We are committed to updating our equipment if needed to any changes suggested by ASTM F2170.
The Ligno-DuoTec BW is a non-invasive meter for wood and building materials and a thermo-hygrometer to check air conditions and perform RH in-situ tests in concrete slabs. A great meter for contractors, inspectors, and hardwood floor installers. The meter offers specific settings for:
Wood, bamboo, composite wood products, and engineered flooring
Concrete
Gypsum and sheetrock
Relative scale for other building materials such as ceiling tiles, ceramic tiles, etc
Non-Invasive Moisture Meter:
For taking moisture measurements, dial the appropriate setting and place the meter on the flat surface. For wood and bamboo percentages of moisture are shown. For building materials, three sensitivity levels can be selected. A unique feature allows the user to select between 1/4″ and 3/4″ measuring depth. For measuring surface moisture, thin boards, and veneer, the measuring depth can be restricted to 1/4″ deep. For deeper readings the user can set the measuring depth to 3/4″ deep. The feature allows measuring a dry surface over higher moisture deeper down.
Obtaining Measurements
Connect RH BluePeg Probe to the meter via RH cable or RH Adaptor.
(RH meters: Ligno-Tec RH, Ligno-DuoTec BW or Ligno-VersaTec)
Press the READ button. RH, T, DP, GPP, and the sensor number appear on the left side of the display. The corresponding measured value appears to the right.
Press the Up or Down keys to toggle between RH, T, GPP, and DP.

Set Sensor
Remove the blue cap and drop RH BluePeg into the sleeve.
Use red cap to mark sleeve with sensor inside.
Remove Sensor
After removing the cable as described above, simply
connect the cable again and pull the sensor out of the sleeve.

Remove Cable
The inner cylinder is in place with one hand and pull the end of the cable about 3/4” towards you.
This disconnects the sensor from the cable. Now you can remove the cable- end-cover and the sensor will stay in the sleeve.
