Fuse Locator
The Megger MFL205 is a simple-to-use fuse locator designed to help identify an individual fuse or circuit breaker on a fuse board or within a consumer unit. Using industry standard 4mm connectors, the MFL205 transmitter can be directly connected to a circuit using the supplied crocodile clips.
With automatic sensitivity adjustment, individual breakers or fuses are pin pointed. The MFL205 features both visual and audible indicators.
Connecting the transmitter to a live circuit automatically initiates the output signal. Using a simple sweep technique across the breakers or fuses, the receivers’ automatic sensitivity adjustment tunes in to the transmitted signal to allow the breaker or fuse to be easily identified. To save battery, the receiver automatically switches off after 3 minutes of inactivity.

Transmitter
1. Power Indicator Light
Transmitter
There is no power switch on the transmitter. Injection of the test signal will automatically start upon connection to the mains supply (110/230V 50/60 Hz).
Receiver
The button on the receiver has three functions: ON/OFF/RESET. To turn on, press and release the ON/OFF/RESET button. LED indicator (2) will light and glow red and the receiver will start beeping. To reset, with the receiver switched on, push and immediately release the ON/OFF/RESET button. To power down, press and hold down the ON/OFF/RESET button for longer than one second.
Scanning Options
Due to the different designs of circuit breakers, it may be unclear using the typical scanning method which of two breakers is emitting the stronger signal, particularly if it appears to be from an area between two adjacent breakers. In the event of this happening, using one of the two alternative scanning methods should aid pinpoint identification of the correct breaker.
