The Megger MST210 socket tester is a ten-pack of plug-in style testers designed to identify wiring faults at UK BS1363 13A 3-pin power sockets. ** Please note, not for USA sockets. ** The MST210 can identify over 17 combinations of wiring faults including missing wires and incorrect or reversed connections. The MST210 cannot identify a Neutral to-Earth reversal. The Socket Tester does not eliminate the need for full electrical test of circuits as specified by BS7671 and is supplementary to it.

Faults are signaled by 3 bright LEDs on the front of the unit, with a simple diagnosis chart for typical errors included on the label next to the LEDs, 2 green LEDs signal a correctly wired socket and a third red LED identifies a fault. If either the green LED fails to light, or the red LED comes on, a fault is present and will require further investigation.

The MST210 is ideal for the initial identification of socket faults following socket replacement or re-wire work of any kind. Simple miss-wires or missing connections can be quickly identified prior to the full BS7671 electrical test and inspection, so time is saved during the testing and certification process.
