Oberon 25 Cal TCG Arc Flash Kit (Hood and Coverall)

The Oberon 25 Cal TCG Ultralight Arc Flash Coveralls are an ultralight suit made from a proprietary blend of arc-rated, inherently flame-resistant, aramid fibers. The suit features reflective day/night striping on arms and legs for increased visibility, knit cuffs, and a dual-stage zipper front closure. The 25 Cal TCG Ultralight Arc Flash Coveralls meet ANSI/ISEA 125 Level 2 conformity and arc flash PPE Category 3 standards with an arc rating of 27 cal/cm². Please refer to NFPA 70E or CSA Z462 Standards for specific selection requirements (See Electrical Safety Standard and PPE Categories in the Documents section). An arc flash risk assessment must first be completed by the employer before the appropriate protection level can be determined.

This Oberon TCG25 Series Arc Flash Kit includes – TCG25 coverall (TCG25-CVL), TCG25 hood (TCG25-C) with optional ventilation system (TCG25-C+HVS) or ventilation system and light (TCG25-C+HVSL).

The Oberon 25 Cal TCG Arc Flash Hood utilizes a patented True Color Grey (TCG) arc flash shield technology which produces no color distortion while performing common work tasks and comes with a scratch-resistant, anti-fog coating. The Oberon HVS is an optional fresh air arc flash hood ventilation system that is pocket mounted in the rear of the hood and includes a high-precision fan motor that provides over 8 CFM of fresh air around the head and face. The Oberon HVSL option includes the hood ventilation system with an adjustable light that clips onto the front of the hood, providing 70 lumens of light and 146 hours of run time.

True Color Grey (TCG) is a medium-density filter that allows all wavelengths of visible light to pass through without causing any color distortion. The end result is a nearly clear experience for the worker when performing complex electrical tasks. With the advent of this new technology, electrical workers will no longer struggle to see colored wires or colored electrical tape while working energized.
