Oberon GES8+ Gas Extraction Kit Gas Extraction Suits

The Oberon GES8+ Series gas extraction suit kit features a 3-layer balaclava, coverall with escape strap, and kitbag. It is the perfect solution to keep you safe when you are working near gas lines or anywhere there is a risk from a prolonged flash fire. The suit allows the worker at least 8 seconds of time to get away from the fire to safety.

GES8+ Series Gas Extraction Coveralls

The Oberon GES8+ Series Gas Extraction Coveralls are engineered to protect workers from thermal exposures and prevent skin burn injuries. An Oberon GES8+ Suit is designed to protect workers from an 8-second thermal exposure. Suits are designed to optimize protection, fit, and function.

The suit has filament rayon inner fabric to absorb moisture and prevent static. The GES8+ Series Gas Extraction Coveralls feature a lightweight fabric system, hi-vis reflective trim, Kevlar wristlets, dual stage front closure (brass zipper, hook and loop closure flap), and 26in brass leg zippers for an extra wide opening for easy on and off (donning and doffing).

GES8 Series Gas Extraction 3-Layer Balaclavas

The GES8 Series Gas Extraction 3-Layer Balaclava is the ideal solution to keep workers safe when working near gas lines or anywhere there is a risk from a prolonged flash fire. The balaclava allows at least 8 seconds of time to get away from the fire to safety. Designed to be worn in conjunction with an GES8 Series gas extraction suit coverall.

Kit Storage Bag

The deluxe bag is for the storage of Oberon’s gas extraction suits and balaclavas. The bag can easily accommodate space for an SCBA as well.

Optional Escape Strap

Gas Extraction Suits can be equipped with an Escape Strap. This system provides an alternative to wearing a full body harness on the inside of the suit. The Escape Strap is designed like a firefighter drag rescue device (DRD) when used for emergency response to help rescue a worker.

A 10ft long Kevlar strap capable of lifting up to 3500lbs is permanently affixed to the coveralls to aid in the all-in-one solution for communication or rescue. The escape strap can be wrapped and stowed away in a small pocket at the back of the suit.
