The PCE-ITF 5 infrared moisture meter is used to simultaneously measure humidity, temperature and surface temperature. This infrared moisture meter is ideal for detecting heat bridges and incorrect ventilation behavior in homes, houses, etc. The PCE-ITF 5 Moisture Meter has two sensors for this application. The infrared temperature sensor measures the surface temperature in the range of -50 … 550°C / -58 … 1022°F. The internal sensor for the air temperature works in the range between -45 and 60°C / -49 … 140°F. The humidity is measured by the infrared moisture meter between 0 … 100% RH. 

The measured values ​​are displayed on a colored LCD. In addition to the visualization of the measured value, the user is visually informed when exceeding or falling below a previously set the alarm. For better viewing of the object to be measured, the infrared moisture meter is equipped with a circular laser. The optical resolution of the IR sensor is 12: 1. 

The distance-to-spot ratio of this meter is 12:1. Which means that the distance between the surface and the meter is 12 times larger than the measuring surface itself.

The farther the meter is away from the surface to be measured, the more space will be measured. If the distance-to-spot ratio is too large, undesired surfaces may be included in the measurement. This will cause incorrect readings.
