The RIDGID D2A Drum has a 61m (200ft) long, stiff push cable with a single spring (12.4in) The single spring allows the D2A the ability to navigate multiple turns and transitions while maintaining the stiffness necessary to push through them and go farther down long lines. The D2A is best suited for lines 38mm – 101mm (1.5in – 4in) in diameter. When used with a 125 mm (5in) pipe guide the D2A’s line capacity is 38mm – 203mm (1.5in – 8in). Achievable push distance depends on pipe conditions. A FleXmitter sonde is built into the D2A’s spring assembly, helping locate problems in the pipe, and transmits a 512 Hz signal for detection by the above-ground receiver. The RIDGID D2A Drum has a minimum bend radius of 70mm (2.8in).
