The RIDGID D2B Drum has a 50m (165ft) long, stiff push cable and a longer spring (17in) with a second, shorter spring nested inside. The dual, nested spring gives the D2B the ability to easily navigate multiple turns and transitions while maintaining the stiffness necessary to push through them and go farther down long lines. The D2B is best suited for lines 51mm – 101mm (2in – 4in) in diameter. When used with a 125 mm (5in) pipe guide the D2B’s line capacity is 51mm – 203mm (2in – 8in). Achievable push distance depends on pipe conditions. A FleXmitter sonde is built into the D2B’s spring assembly, helping locate problems in the pipe, and transmits a 512 Hz signal for detection by the above-ground receiver. The RIDGID D2B Drum has a minimum bend radius of 90mm (3.5in).
