The chart below provides a brief overview of each model:
Analog channels | Bandwidth | Digital channels | |
SDS3034X HD | 4 | 350 MHz | 16 (option) |
SDS3054X HD | 4 | 500 MHz | 16 (option) |
SDS3104X HD | 4 | 1 GHz | 16 (option) |
The SDS3000X HD series employs Siglent’s SPO technology with a maximum waveform capture rate of up to 200,000 wfm/s, 256-level intensity grading display, as well as a color temperature display mode. It also features an innovative digital trigger system with high sensitivity and low jitter, supporting multiple powerful modes including serial bus triggering. Tools such as History waveform recording, Search and Navigate functions, Mask Test, Bode Plot and Power Analysis allow for extended waveform records to be captured, stored, and analyzed. An impressive array of measurement and math capabilities, options for a 50 MHz arbitrary waveform generator, as well as serial decoding are also features of the SDS3000X HD.
The large 10.1’’ capacitive touch screen supports multitouch gestures, with the addition of user-friendly UI design, can greatly improve the operational efficiency. It also supports mouse control, and remote web control over LAN.
12-bit high resolution
The SDS3000X HD features 12-bit analog / digital converters, enabling users to see more details and less noise on the waveform.
Digital channels / mixed signal analysis (option)
The Siglent SDS3000X HD provides 16 digital channels, enabling users to acquire and trigger waveforms, then analyze the pattern simultaneously with one instrument.
SDS3000HD-16LA software and SPL2016 logic probe are sold separately – both items are required for operation.
This software option adds the following functions to the oscilloscope:
- Digital channel acquisition and analysis — Acquire and analyze the signals connected to the digital logic probe, including waveform display, save, parameter measurement, etc.
- Trigger on a digital channel — Trigger with the digital channel as the trigger source, isolating events of interest.
- Decode on a digital channel — Serial protocol decoding of a digital channel requires the installation of the serial decode option.
50 MHz function / arbitrary waveform generation (option)
The SDS3000X HD supports arbitrary waveform / function generation by incorporating an SAG1021I external USB arbitrary waveform generator or SDG series benchtop unit, combined with the SDS3000HD-FG software option.
AWG functions include:
- 6 basic waveforms: Sine, Square, Ramp, Pulse, Noise, and DC
- 45 built-in arbitrary waveforms
- Output frequency up to 50 MHz
- -3 V ~ +3 V output amplitude range
- 42 V isolated voltage
SDS3000HD-FG software option and SAG1021I/SDG series waveform generators are sold separately. A compatible, external waveform generator is required, in addition to the software for this option.
Serial bus decode
Display the decoded characters through the events list. Bus protocol information can be quickly and intuitively displayed in tabular form.
- Included standard: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN
- Optional: CAN FD, FlexRay, I2S, MIL-STD-1553B, SENT, Manchester (decode only), ARINC429
High waveform update rate
With a waveform update rate of up to 200,000 wfm/s, the SDS3000X HD can easily capture unusual or low-probability events. In Sequence mode, the waveform capture rate can reach 890,000 wfm/s.
Deep record length
Using hardware-based Zoom technique and record length of up to 400 Mpts, users can select a slower timebase without compromising the sample rate, and then quickly zoom in to focus on the area of interest.
Hardware based high speed mask test function
This series utilizes a hardware-based Mask Test function, performing up to 28,000 Pass / Fail decisions each second. It is easy to generate user-defined test templates to provide trace mask comparisons, making it suitable for long-term signal monitoring or automated production line testing.
Bode plot
The SDS3000X HD supports an automatic Bode plot function. This function provides a frequency response curve of the device-under-test as well as the interface for output sweep parameter control and data display settings. At this time, either the SIGLENT SAG1021I arbitrary waveform generator or one of a SIGLENT SDG series arbitrary function generators are supported. During the sweep, the oscilloscope configures the generator output frequency and amplitude and then compares the input signal to the output of the DUT. Gain (G) and phase (P) are measured at each frequency and plotted on the frequency response Bode plot. When the loop response analysis is complete, you can move the markers on the chart to see the gain and phase values measured at each frequency point. You can also adjust the scale and offset settings for the amplitude and phase plots.
SDS3000HD-FG software option and SAG1021I/SDG series waveform generators are sold separately.
Power analysis (option)
Power analysis can help users quickly and easily analyze and debug switching power supply design. It automatically calculates Power Quality, Current Harmonics, Inrush Current, Switching Loss, Slew Rate, Modulation, Turn On/Turn Off, Transient Response, PSRR, Power Efficiency, Output Ripple and more. Full use of the Power Analysis option requires a differential voltage probe (SIGLENT DPB series), a current probe (SIGLENT CP series), DF2001A deskew fixture, and the power analysis activation license (part number SDS3000HD-PA).
SDS3000HD-PA option, probes and deskew fixture are sold separately.
