The Testo 770-1 hook clamp meter is ideally suited for electrical work in HVAC applications. Testo’s unique hooking clamp design can be used to separate and grab wires. The easy hook-off retractable post releases the wires when testing in tight spaces. Safely use clamp meter handsfree.

The Testo 770-1 includes the testo 770-1 hook clamp meter, test leads, (3) AAA batteries, instruction manual, quick start guide, and certificate of conformity.

The three instruments in the Testo 770 clamp meter range are ideal for current and voltage measurements in tight heat pumps and mini split systems with its compact design. The Test 770 Series features an innovative slide clamp design, grabbing the correct wire for testing is even safer given the tight spaces for testing thermistors and control panels. Automatic measurement parameter recognition with each testo clamp meter ensures safe working and eliminates the guess work when it comes to voltage measurements. The rotary dial allows more measurements such as resistance, continuity, as well as diode and capacitance, eliminating the need for multiple instruments to add to the bag.

The Testo 770-1 model is the standard version for daily measuring tasks, including starting current measurement. The Testo 770-2 contains both a μA area as well as a temperature measurement by means of an optional thermocouple adapter type K. The Testo 770-3 also calculates all output ratings and contains a Bluetooth interface that increases the flexibility of the instrument to collect more data at once to diagnosis common problems or electrical connections. With the Testo 770-3 clamp meter, technicians are able to connect to select testo instrument with the testo Smart App (free download) to show the measurements as a graph or to document it directly in a report.
