Electric Vehicle Charger Test Kit

The Triplett Model TEV300 Electric Vehicle Charger Test Kit provides fundamental wiring testing for EV charging systems with LED GO/NO GO indicators to indicate the charger output status. An LED indication chart printed on the front of the unit defines the meaning of the output status lights for the user’s convenience.

The proximity pilot (PP) state simulates a 20A current between the PP and PE conductors. A built-in control pilot (CP) state can simulate vehicle states with different resistances between the CP and PE conductors. CP error “E” simulates the behavior of the station when there is an established short circuit between CP and PE.

Control Pilot State Vehicle Simulation

The control pilot state is set by the user and simulates a vehicle connection in different states.

A. Electric vehicle not connected

B. Electric vehicle connected, not ready to charge

C. Electric vehicle connected, ready to charge, ventilation not required

E. CP Error

Socket Inspection

The socket inspection LEDs and guide printed on the front of the unit provide details about the state of the charger.
