The EBT731 Balometer Capture Hood is intended for applications including HVAC commissioning, clean room certification, HVAC system troubleshooting, and HVAC system testing and balancing. The unit includes NIST calibration as standard and comes with a certificate. Also included is a luggage-style carrying case for easy, safe transport. The unit is powered by four (4) AA size rechargeable NiMH batteries. A multi-country charger is included as well.

All-in-one
The EBT731 Hood combines multiple measurement tools into one instrument to save you time and money. It includes a detachable digital micromanometer with carrying case, as well as an 18-inch Pitot probe and two Static Pressure probes. With its ergonomic, lightweight design, one person can take full control of the EBT731 and perform all necessary measurements.
The EBT731 can also automatically sense and display supply or return flows to save time on the job. The unit’s back pressure compensation feature also helps to ensure accurate readings. Capture Hood Design
The hood itself features and ergonomic design which is ultra-lightweight for easy one-person operation. It can automatically sense and display supply or return flows, which saves time on the job. A unique Back Pressure Compensation feature ensures accurate readings. Multiple hood sizes are also available, making the Balometer Capture Hood extremely versatile in most HVACR applications.
What’s Included
The EBT731 combines multiple measurement tools into one instrument, so users can easily create healthy and energy efficient environments while meeting local codes, guidelines, and regulations for ventilation systems. These tools include the 2 ft. x 2 ft. air capture hood/frame/base and a detachable micromanometer with an included carrying case. One 18 in. Pitot probe and two Static Pressure probes, as well as neoprene tubing, are also included with the EBT731.
Large Display
All this is controlled via a large graphic display with backlight and intuitive menu structure. The screen can display up to five measurements simultaneously.
Export Wirelessly
When measurements have been completed, the unit allows you to export data via a USB cable or wireless Bluetooth communication.
Detachable Micromanometer
The detachable micromanometer included with the EBT731 can accurately measure pressure, velocity and flow to help you meet industry standards, as well as any local, state, and federal regulations. The manometer’s Auto-Zeroing pressure sensor cuts out several steps in the process and saves users valuable time. The unit’s integrated Log-Tchebycheff duct traverse application simplifies calculations and further helps to save time on the job. An Automatic Density Correction feature increases reading accuracy.
The micromanometer also includes a range of other unique features. An auto-zeroing pressure sensor reduces the number of steps for the user and saves time.
