Viper Imaging offers several complete solutions for high volume, non-invasive temperature screening. These systems are easy to set up and use, do not require special training, and enable staff to maintain a safer distance from testing subjects. Please note, these products are designed to measure temperature and are not medical equipment. They cannot detect or diagnose COVID-19/Coronavirus.

What is this?

This is a complete screening system for use with elevated body temperature. It includes a variety of items, including a thermal camera, PC, monitor, as well as a rolling stand to mount it all on. For a full list of included items, please see the section labeled “In the Box”.

It creates a complete testing system on wheels.

How does it work?

The camera is set at a position where it will be constantly focused – testing subjects simply walk in front of it, so their faces fill most of the screening area. The system measures their temperature and alerts staff if a temperature threshold has been crossed.

This uses Viper’s ViperVision MAX software which directly communicates with the control system. Parameters are easily adjusted.

The video below provides a brief overview of how this system operates. Please note, the video shows use of a light tower which is no longer included as a standard item due to privacy concerns.

What does this system come with?

This system was designed to be easy and comes with everything you need to get up and running.

First and foremost, it comes with a FLIR thermal camera. To aid the camera’s performance, it includes a reference emitter – this is a device that emits a constant, known temperature and helps improve the accuracy of measurements.

A monitor and PC are provided, as is Viper’s ViperVision MAX software program.

This system mounts onto a rolling stand, which is also included. Please note, it comes with one stand for the main system. If you would like to put the reference emitter on a stand as well, extra stands are available as optional items The emitter can also be mounted on a wall.

How are MAX and ULTRA systems different from each other?

Viper Imaging offers several variations of its MAX and ULTRA systems. While the core components are very similar, they do come with different thermal cameras.
