The Weller TC205 sponge is a safe and effective method for cleaning solder tips. The TC205 is designed to fit into the Weller WEP 70 safety rest, but the sponge is 2.5″ x 2.5″ and can be cut down to universally fit into most solder iron stands. TC205 sponges also utilize small slits in the sponge to effectively clean just the tip.

Please note: these sponges ship flat and require a little bit of water (preferably distilled) to “puff” the sponge up before use.
