Heavy Duty Soldering Iron for Nitrogen Usage with Stand and FX-791 Controller
The Hakko FM-2031 is a heavy-duty, nitrogen-compatible soldering iron. It is ideal for use with difficult to solder, heavy ground planes, and high heat sink applications.
Several packages available
Hakko offers the FM-2031 in packages with a variety of accessories. The following is an overview of each:
- FM2031-01 – handpiece only
- FM2031-02 – handpiece with stand, B3253 connecting cable and heat resistant pad
- FM2032-KIT – handpiece with stand, B3253 connecting cable, heat resistant pad and FX791-01 nitrogen controller

Compatible tips and nitrogen nozzles
The FM-2031 is compatible with T22 series tips. For a complete listing of part numbers with images and dimensional information, please click here.
Hakko also offers several nitrogen nozzles for its T22 tips. The chart below outlines the compatibility between each nozzle and the T22 series.
Nozzle assemblies are required in order to properly envelop the tip when using nitrogen and are made to fit specific shape tips.
