Digital Dust Monitor
The Kanomax 3444 Digital Dust Monitor measures aerosol concentrations corresponding to PM10 and is battery-operated, data-logging, light-scattering laser photometer. It is suitable for clean office settings, as well as harsh industrial workplaces, construction and environmental sites, and outdoor applications.
The unit measures 0.1 to 10µm particle size aerosol contaminants such as fumes, dust, smoke and mists, and its intake isolates the aerosol sample so that the optics chamber is kept sterile for improved reliability and low maintenance.
The 3444 is a lightweight and portable instrument and can be powered by AA batteries or an optional AC adapter (3444-10).
Applications:
- IAQ Investigations
- Industrial Hygiene
- Occupational Health & Safety
- Contamination Exposure Monitoring
- Manufacturing Process ControlÂ
Product layout
How Kanomax’s light-scattering method Dust Monitor works
When the laser hits the PM (particulate matter, also called particle pollution), light scattering occurs. The 3444 collects the amount of scattering light and calculates the mass concentration in proportion to the luminescence. The mass concentration is based on the density of PM, thus gravimetric sampling is required if the density is unknown.
What the dust monitor measures
The dust monitor measures the mass concentration of particulates in the air. This is typically expressed in milligrams of particulates per cubic meter of air. This makes the dust monitor very useful for monitoring substances that could negatively impact a person’s health.
Calibration
All Kanomax dust monitors come with a NIST TRACEABLE CALIBRATION certificate.
