- Convection soldering of packages to PCB
- Heating and reflow for rework touch up
- Heat shrink and other local heating applications
- 230 Volt Model
The Metcal HCT-900 hand held convection tool is a low cost, versatile rework solution for production and rework applications. It has a compact, robust design comprising of analog controls for both airflow and heat. A closed loop feedback circuit controls the temperature, allowing the desired settings to be achieved and maintained, regardless of changes in the volume of airflow.
Features include:
- Closed-loop thermocouple feedback control delivers repeatable heating based on the setting programmed regardless of airflow control
- Settings can be easily replicated for applications
- Unique, low noise air pump design delivers precise airflow control for the most demanding applications
- Power off cool down function retains airflow while unit powers down for safe operation.
- Analog controls for heat and airflow (individually adjustable)
