The CAL1000 is designed to verify that testers are calibrated to ANSI/ESD S1.1-1998 and ANSI/ESD STM9.1-2001, so it works with most makes of test equipment. With the rotation of the selector switch, you can check that the testers are calibrated. It verifies Transforming Technologies part numbers GTS600K, GTS900K, SRM310, SRM500K, and many others.

The CAL1000 is a resistance box with fixed 5% precision resistors. Resistance decade boxes can accurately simulate resistance for quickly testing the accuracy of ESD testers and meters. Resistance is the opposition to the passage of an electric current through an electrical conductor. Measured in ohms and defined by Ohm’s Law as equal to voltage divided by current, resistance is one of the most basic electrical measurements.
