The Triplett model MS40 pen-style pin moisture meter quickly measures moisture reference levels in wood, wall board, sheet rock, cardboard, plaster, paper, fabric, and other building materials. Results are displayed on the eight easy-to-read dual-range LEDs that indicate 16 moisture levels. In addition, it features easy-to-use two button operation, wood density measurement, and a low battery indicator. The auto power-off feature conserves battery life.

H: High moisture measurement and the range is 16-35%

L: Low moisture measurement and the range is 7-15%

M1: Category 1, wood with density about 0.3-0.6 g/cm3
