Power and Energy Logger Model PEL 103 w/LCD Display Only, No Current Sensors
he PEL 103 is a low cost, simple to use, one, two (split phase) and three phase power/energy data logger. This product is ideal for electricians, engineers and contractors doing work in the area of building and system monitoring and upgrades, as well as residential and overall energy audits. All vital energy data is easily measured, recorded, and analyzed. Reports can be generated with confidence with minimal configuration time and effort (Standard and Customizable Reports supplied).
The instrument’s design enables it to be installed inside a load center panel (including the current sensors) allowing the door to close on most panels. The PEL 100 series offers all the essential functions for logging power/energy data from most electrical power networks in use today across the world (17 network set-ups provided). The PEL 100 series energy loggers measure and record three True RMS voltage inputs and current inputs, Watts, VARS, VA and Energy (kWh and kVA). Power Factor (PF), Displacement Power Factor (DPF), Crest Factor, Frequency and THD are calculated and recorded as well. Individual harmonic % information from 1 to the 50th harmonic are recorded at the operator’s choice. All variables are recorded and stored at a one second interval and on user selectable demand intervals from 1 to 60 minutes.
The DataView® software provides the ability to review power, harmonic and RMS data in real-time and to download recorded sessions for more extensive analysis and report generation. One second trend and demand interval trend graphs and tabular listings can be displayed and printed out. Energy costs can be calculated. Source and load graphs can be plotted. Individual phases and the sum of all phases can be evaluated. Once on screen, the user has access to a variety of analytical tools to analyze individual data points or sections of the recorded data without the frustration with having to deal with layers of button pushing to get to the information you need.
This simple-to-use yet comprehensive power and energy logger will be an invaluable asset to your energy monitoring and analysis.

PEL Control Panel Update (Version 2.8.15349)
NEC 220 Article 220.87 30-Day Load Study Report Template
- A new reporting template for load studies simplifies report creation for the PEL series of instruments. Once a recording is completed and added as a session to the Control Panel, a DataView report can be created using the NEC 220.87 30-Day Load Study template. This report will populate peak power in kW and the max demand of the feeder or service as required by article 220.87.
Additional Features:
- Support for Cloud services like OneDrive, Google Drive and DropBox for the DataView documents folder
- New screen to the installer process that shows how much hard drive space is available and how much it will take to install application
- Ability to select the path to Download folder to store reports where you want on your PC
- See Model L452 data in the Workstation Instrument Panel view
- DataViewSync facilitates communication between the instrument and your computer to easily use DataView to configure, analyze, and generate reports; It also automates the selection of the server address and port
- Bug Fixes: Refer to DataView Release notes and PEL Release notes for a full list of bug fixes included in this release
DataView® is included with Models PEL 102 and 103 on a USB stick.
